Henry Woide
Henry Woide is a London-based photographer whose practice focuses on contemporary issues surrounding land and the constructed landscape. He challenges our relationship with an ever-growing managed space in Britain.
His photographic projects have been exhibited internationally, winning the Life Framer Series Award and receiving the Sony Photography Awards and International Photography Awards shortlist.
He graduated with a Master's in Photography from Falmouth University, which honed his approach to critical and theoretical image-making. Using this, he hopes to provide a framework with education and mentoring of photographers he advises.
He Co-founded Mass in 2019 to create a collective of photographers with a shared interest in making photographic work that observes, explores, and challenges the built environment.
Luca Piffaretti
After earning an MA in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster in London, Luca began documenting the built environment, blending commercial work for architects and interior designers with personal projects centred on a psychogeographical exploration of his surroundings.
In 2019, he co-founded MASS with Francesco Russo and Henry Woide, collaborating on projects such as Londons and Where the Flow Ends, as well as curating the Hackney Urban Survey workshops.
Since returning to his hometown of Mendrisio, Switzerland, Luca has focused on expanding his artistic practice while continuing to collaborate with the collective on new initiatives.
Francesco Russo
After graduating in Architecture from the IUAV University of Venice and working as an architect, Francesco Russo developed his knowledge in architectural photography at the London College of Communication (LCC) and decided to dedicate himself entirely to photography.
With an interest in various aspects of documenting architecture, Francesco looks at how life interacts with the built environment and has a keen eye for industrial architecture. He has documented the projects of internationally renowned architecture and design practices and his personal and commercial work has been published in photography and architecture magazines and books.
He co-founded Mass in 2019 to create a community of like-minded photographers to share experiences and support each other while enjoying the process of creating photographic work collaboratively.
