This photography workshop celebrates Mass’ new home in Hackney at the Morris+Company shared workspace at 215 Mare Street. The aim is to visually explore the industrial past and present of the area starting from the building that hosts our studio, a former warehouse converted into a workplace.
The workshop is open to 15 photographers, amateurs and professionals, and develops throughout 2 afternoons. The work produced will be presented in a flash exhibition over the weekend of the 16th and 17th of September when 215 Mare Street will be open to the public as part of Open House 2023.

The workshop aims to visually explore Hackney’s industrial past and present through a collaborative approach and it’s open to the first 15 photographers that will register, amateurs and professionals.
The photography activity will be followed by a collective review and a selection of images will be presented the day after at a flash exhibition.

From the photographs produced during the workshop we will select one image from each participant to be printed and will curate a flash exhibition in the foyer of 215 Mare Street.
The photos will be exhibited until Friday the 13th of October.

Bring your own photography equipment (camera, tripod, laptop, etc.)
Technical note: because of the short time available to produce the exhibition we encourage everyone to shoot with digital cameras.

The workshop will be at our studio in Hackney at 215 Mare Street, London, E8 3QE.
